Fucking mooi, en mijn laminaten vloer heeft er alweer heel wat door te verduren gehad, maar ik vind eigenlijk dat het liedje te veel klinkt als The Postal Service om van The Postal Service te kunnen zijn.

In I Know What Girls Like van Space Cowboy tieren de papapa's, laten we zeggen, welig. En dan zitten er ook nog tunuh! tunuh! tunuh! tunuh!-gitaren in, bevat het liedje het roekelooste synthesizergebruik sinds Adore van Lo-Fi-FNK en is er sprake van tekstuele RELEVANTIE als 'Boooys, boooys, boys!' en het minstens zo geïnspireerde 'Giiirls, giiirls, girls!'. En dan is het ook nog een cover en geen cover TEGELIJKERTIJD.

Als je dat liedje nou hoort, vraag je je dan ook niet af wat dat verdomme toch is met altijd die liedjes zonder gepapapa erin?


Extra punten voor het feit dat Space Cowboy eruit ziet alsof hij net bij de bevalling van zijn vriendin vandaan komt, waarbij complicaties waren opgetreden, maar dat alles uiteindelijk toch nog goed is gekomen.
